Phoenix Gold XS 2500 , Repair Help !!!

Post by LauX »

Hi!

I need schematics for Phoenix Gold XS 2500, or rounded(ringed) piece(part) of attachament. Pleas Help ! :(

An alternative may be a high quality picture of the inside of Amp so i can identify carbonized parts.

Thanks!

in your pic I can't tell if they are diodes or resistors? Do they have colored bands around them or just a silver on?
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.

Those are gate resistors for the power supply MOSFETs. If you look across the amp to the other side, there are three more of them. If yours are not burnt on the other side, you can get the value off of them.

You should replace all 6 MOSFETs, and all 6 resistors.

Burnt:

- 6 mosfets
- 4 capacitors
- 6 resistors.

I need the value only for resistors, must be < 1 Ohm ... :hmm:

If you send PG an email, they will tell you the exact value. I am guessing 30-50 ohm. It is not that critical, so long as you are close.

read the colored bands that are on the resistors from the other side and we will translate that into the ohms #.

I would not expect one either, since they were bought out by amp they have lost a little bit of the personal service that we were all use to. Unfortunatly I am not sure what to do as I do not have any idea where to look for the values of those resistors unless someone that has a working version of the amp can help to see what the resistor values are.

I am not trying to take a shot at them, but I thought we had a couple of people on here that were hoping to get emails returned but never did?

crap, sorry i forgot about this. the ones in my xs2500 are 20.3ohm (unless i'm dumb)

colors are:

brown
gold
red
black
orange

which should be:

+/- 1%
*0.1
2
0
3
