You could actually buy a V2 upgrade kit from PG. I think I've seen one on here or Ebay in the past year.

Thank you for the clarification, I haven't really had too many zx amps around lately to look at.....I was trying to go by memory.....and

might effect my short term memory.

No cap replacement. No leaks or bulge's though. I just sent them in to get checked out fully since I didn't have any way to do it at the time.

When the ZX's first came out the fan was only secured at 2 points, and not diagonally but on the same side. There were many customer fan failures, most likely caused by vibration (amp mounted on sub box, etc.) and poor mechanical design. The V2 fan is secured at all 4 points and is more durable iirc.

The original plexi windows were glued in and fell out quite often. The windows in the V2 cover are screwed down. Anyone with a V1 cover would get it replaced with a V2 at no charge.
