what about a new enclosure

Post by rednike »

Hi Guys:

Really appreicated all your comments, I am now thinking of building another enclosure box that is smaller and hopefully it can create more bass!! Can anynody give me some advice the size of the ported enclosure? I listens to hip-hop / R & B / Trance music most of the time...

For MORE bass you want a large ported box with a big port.

The ported box I am using now is 18"x16"x22" but its taking too much space and some member in the forum told me that is way too big for a single 12" stroker sub...

Depends on what Gen the Stroker sub is. If it's an original, they're space hogs. I don't have any real world experience w/the newer Gens.

for more bass at a particular note you will get it from large ported enclosure. I prefer a nice sealed enclosure myself as you can always get more/different bass from electrinic tuning if you want a gain at a particular freq.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.

Actually my 12D2 was installed in the sealed enclosure before but I can barely get any bass from it and so thats why I modify the enclosure to ported which improve the sound volume and SQ a lot...

you can always try a basscube, it would be easier then a new box.

if you read in the instructions, you will probably be better off with the sq setting. Set the Q to low which will give a bigger selection of frequencies available to be boosted. Have you found the cube secrets stuff to allow you to give up to 18 db of boost rather then 12?

boosting the input voltage would also mean more output.
