thanks fellas, I like them better this way too and will be doing all my Ti gear this way for sure. They all actually look exactly the same it just depends on how the light hits them. maybe $30 worth of supplys?

hey B, remember that old black, fairly messed up ground block you I bought? I swapped over to Ti finish and after it is polished it will look 110% better!

Good news too, it is easier then we thought and I think it is even where the rusted Ti's are repairable. All I did was sand/rough up the metal with a 100 grit sandpaper and then cleaned it and cleared right over it. This should mean that any rust spots that are not around writting we can just sand down, then clean and clear them to restore them. This piece was just painted this morning but after polishing it should look just like the others. I think I will add a "powered by phoenix gold" on the boarder around the plexi in a black candy spay paint, just real subtle though so you can just barely see it.

Only bad points are the two small circles where the screw terminals to hold the plexi show through. I sanded on them for a while but that was the best I could get them.

Do you have a list of the chemicals and supplies you used as I want to do my 500.4, 1200.1 and DD10? :hmm: Thanx for the thread and the pieces look great  , can't wait to do mine.

I can take some pics of everything I used, but a small list is duplicolor clear, adhesion promoter, 1500 and 2k grit wet/dry sand paper. I have another black black that I am going to convert to Ti and paint to match that one. If you want I can do a step-by-step to show how.
