the only thing i see having problems is hooking up the computer to the the RCA style A/V cables inputs on my headunit so i can use it as the computer monitor.
and also a small problem to would be the power supply
the reason i would do this is becaus i can wire a usb cable into my dash and be able to hook up my BLACKJACK to the computer and be able to have DSL speed on the go, that would be pretty cool just to have :)

I have stolen hundreds of dollars from my friends. If you know me, stay away, because I will steal from you too.
You will need wide range input DC to DC convertors that supply + - 12 and + - 5 volts. Of a 12 to 110 invertor that feeds a regular computer power supply.
Hard drives act like gyro's in a car and exhibit gyroscopic forces when spinning and in motion inside a car. Its kind of hard on them.
Other than that no big deal on Carputers in fact there several available at a couple different sites on the web
how about this one, from the description it looks like it would be perfect for what i need, plus this thing is super small and would fit in my glovebox perfectly. has the TV output so i can run it to my H/U monitor. audio output so i can hook it up to the H/U, doesnt have a cd drive but i dont see a need for one really, i can just temporarly hook one up to install software, i wouldnt be playing any games on it since i already asked for a playstation 2 (the slim version) for christmas. if i got this thing the only other thing that i would want for the car would be headrest monitors.
so i would have a great stereo, a playstation 2, and a carputer with highspeed wireless internet connection and full functional computer, and 3 monitors (1 in the H/U and 2 in the headrests)
that would be a killer car set up all the way around

yep i found it, the boards alone cost $400 and they even state on there that they do not make any casses yet for the board so that is definatly out of there
