Got me some free 6 x 9's, fairly decent ones too.

I went to the local stereo shop where I hang out and asked if they had any cheap, get-me-by 6 x 9's as they occasionally get some some in on trade and what not, but Loddie, the installer, says "Here, you can HAVE these". To my surprise he hands me a set of Kicker Impulse 6 x 9's. I metered them and they both tested out at 3.9 ohms, so they're good to go. I'm going to put them in tomorrow if it's still supposed to be 50 outside.

Lucky me, though they do give me a lot of things I need for free.
"ZPA's will have the same sound essentially as you get from the MS, they just feature a bigger shinier set of balls."

Nice find. I have a set of oddball 5x7 midbass Impulses that I bought new old stock on Ebay last year for 30 bucks shipped. They are strictly midbass not co axes or part of a component set so a very odd speaker. I bought hem as a quick fix planning to upgrade them over this winter but after hearing them in my car and the midbass they put out they are staying in there, they fit in the stock rear speaker locations in my 92 Mustang Feature Vert perfect.

Not mine but production figures etc. Mine is a 5 speed and only a couple hundred had 5 speeds 90% were automatics.
