as with any grey ms series amp they are the amps that where made earlier than the white ones, some of the grey 2125's have the speaker cables on one side and the wire's are smaller. :shaking:

there is no hard and fast rule that you can say that this amp is better than that amp, they all sound good but with all the variations that the M and MS amps went through it's not possible to say an amp is better because of what color it is. for the most part though if you do have an early 2125 with the older speaker connections it could be proven difficult to upgrade to the latter style setup. :)

Some people swear by running the older versions of the amps, claiming they sound better.

Personally I would want a newer version amp, because it would have all the signal path upgrades. I doubt the sound is changed that substantially by the minor mods they did.

more capacitance does'nt magically change the windings in the power torriods or raise the rail voltage so it's not gonna make a significant amount of more power :| but it will smooth out the sound some and allow for maybe 1or2 extra db's that may not seem like much but these amps are already better than most amp's out there so any improvement is good :)
