Hello,
I recently purchased a Phoenix Gold ZX450 and I wondering what is the best way to wire this amp to a pair of 10" Audiobahn subs in order to get the best amount of consistent power. Thank you
Phoenix Gold ZX450 specs:
4 ohm stereo @ 12/13.8 VDC
18/75 WRMS x 4
2 ohm stereo @ 13.8 VDC
150 WRMS x 4
4 ohm bridged @ 13.8 VDC
250 WRMS x 2
Subwoofer (Audiobahn AW1051T) specs:
Dual 4 ohm Natural Sound Subwoofer
Power Handling:
Peak: 600 watts
RMS: 300 watts
Impedance: Dual 4 ohm

Re: Phoenix Gold ZX450
While the 450 could handle a 2 ohm bridged load, I would wire each 4 ohm coil to its own ch of the amp. Sub A, vc1 to ch 1, vc 2 to ch 2, Sub B, vc 1 to ch 3, vc 2 to ch 4. Set the gains for each sub as close as possible. If I wasn't using my phone, I'd explain how.
"ZPA's will have the same sound essentially as you get from the MS, they just feature a bigger shinier set of balls."

Re: Phoenix Gold ZX450
Any other ideas? anyone??
Re: Phoenix Gold ZX450
if you do that I would be sure that the sub signal is mono and you are not seding different signals to each coil.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.
Re: Phoenix Gold ZX450
k installation is done! sounds great! One problem. I attempted to make my own LPL44, using a 50kohm pot meter and some telephone wire. All the wire connections are soldered properly, I plug it in to the amp and theres nothing!! WTF!! I looked online and came across a thread that said the LPL44 only works when your low pass cross over is activated. Ok so I did that and this knob still doesnt freakin work!!
