what would you use question again!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post by nutxo »

Okay. I have a usa 150, rated 75x2 or 450 bridged into 2 ohms

I have a usa 425 (25x4 or 100x 2 into 4ohms) or 2 usa 100s (50x2 or 300@2ohms bridged) on the way. I have to answer tonight.

My original plan was bridge the 425 into my coaxes and use the 150 for my sub, rear fill off my deck and then later move the 150 to the front for tweeters, the 425 bridged for mids and the amp I havent gotten yet ( hopin for a usa400 ) for subs..... This seems like a great way to go because its very organic.

The I was thinking,, usa 100 on the sub ( 300@2ohms ) move my 150 to the coaxes and use another 100 on rear fill... I cant really see a way to grow this way though,..

If you want to make things more confusing, the 425 could also run the sub (bridged to each coil)

lawl, not easily. On a side note I tried to explain Independent wiring of voice coils on a 2 channel recently and was told I couldn't do it.... I was like WT F!? Yes you can. I mentioned that conversation to a friend that runs a car audio place and then he told me it couldn't be done either,... Do people just never do it anymore???

On a side note I missed out on the usa 100s. As soon as I get some comps for the front I think Im gonna get a mini class d for the sub until I get a usa400.

it isn't normally recomended to be honest but can be done. It is important to ensure that the amp is being sent identical signals so that the subs VC's do not end up in different phases and fighting each other.

what is not easy about it? Take a Y splitter on the input and just feed one channel into the amp and your done.

It's more time consuming that it is easy. You need to make sure that the gains for chs 1/2 & 3/4 are set to the same output as close as possible, and make sure that each bridged ch sees the same signal, as stated w/a Y splinter RCA

only if you use a 4 channel amp. A two channel would be better for it of course since one gain controls both channels.

lawl. Im using the 2 channel bridged into 2 ohms on the sub. US Amps are rated into 2ohm mono. it doesnt get any easier than that.
