I'm planning a bit on my projects, and it seems that i will need some new speaker and power con For the MS/MPS series, i know this is a hard to get item, so i'm considering/check options and costs by making some new ones.
What is the demand for this parts for our beloved MS/MPS jewels that we have? What types, what color and so on (i'm thinking of the plastic part)

i would say the demand would be pretty good. someone else on here was looking into doing this also i dont remember who it was though.
Ok. It would be nice to know if there is someone who has looked into this, before i do something more. And i'm not looking into make a lot of money on this, just looking for to break even. (If there is a demand and i go trough with this project of course )
Please feel free to come with your thoughts about this
I don't need any personally but itd be nice to get if needed... I'd want factory white or black ones... I'd consider replacing the ones on my Frank for black just for looks!

Eric was looking into having them made, machining the molds costs pretty big money, they will sell like hotcakes though, that is a fact! They came in stock colors of white and black. If you have the mold then you could do them in any color you want. Stock up on the whites&blacks. I really dont think it would take to long to recoup the cost of making them. Also you would have to have the brass connectors made for the B+ & B- remote+ that go inside the connector shells. Same for the speaker connectors. And they would need to be gold plated to prevent corrosion on the terminals. It is a endevour, but I think it will pay off @ the end.. Id say that they might be sold for 50 for the power and 25 for the speaker terminals..just a rough guess without getting to logistical, since it depends on what it costs you, bottom line to make them. I can fix/repair almost any one of them with drilling anchor holes for the epoxy, lots of sanding, painting. I have in the past and they could almost pass for stock.. Let us know if your going to follow through with it..
The story of members that wanted to get them made up really starts to get boring since it never made it past the idea in the last 3 years.
If u can make the mold on your own it will pay off for sure. If u have to get the molds made up u will have to sell at least 125 sets (2 Speaker and 1 Power MS2125) at 100USD to just get the money for the molds back in. Not to mention that these will come without the golden inserts. How many guys do you know that would be willing to buy three pieces of plastic for 100USD plus shipping??? In here u´ll most likely get 25 guys to do so.
Edit: Make it 24 since i still have 2 grey and 2 white sets in storage which i´m most likely going to keep forever.

I can guarantee that. At least i had to when i got the quote from my local toolmaker shop.
I have had some surprises in tooling cost so i have learned i have also found out that check with a bunch of toolers and wait for answer from all of them:) I "saved" 6900USD on waiting. quotes was from 10000USD to 3100USD on the same tool!!!!!
I haven't got time to get any quotes yet, the other quotes was for another project i'm looking into So i haven't put a lid on this yet I will let you know
