Best SQL sub

Post by Cold21blooded »

I've been looking into the best SQL subs for my next setup.. and on other forums a lot off people said the pg ti12d titanium elite is one of the best ever made.. do you guys agree or is there a better pg sub or even a different brand

It definitely is the best SQL sub I've owned. I'd also have a peek at the Image Dynamics IDMax or the Adire Brahma.

Best sub I've ever heard was a RE:SE
many people will say RE's best sub is the XXX but to me it looks like more of an SPL sub to me.

best sq sub has alot to do with what kinda music you listen to power and the other speaker in the car. i have used alot of diffent brands and i have to say not to bash pg but they are not at the top of my list.

focal, blues 12"svc,kick solo first gen,jl w6v2,eclipse old school 15" can't remeber the model, orion xtr first gen, ect to me sounded better than the pg i have used

octane, sahpire, rsdc 10" and 12",xmax,ti elite,cyclone,tantrum.. i have never had a heavy front stage due to the cars i have owned but something has been missing with pg?

hope you find what you like

Was the original SE based off of the Shiva? I know the XXX was a Brahma in drag. I know the SE didn't have an XBL motor, but if it's anything like the Shiva I know they sound great regardless.

I run a single diamond 10D6 in my truck and am amazed how well it fills it. ID has always had subs that sounded great as well.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.

I love the SE, the old XXX with the XBL was like a louder version I found. To be honest I haven't heard a bad sounding sub that Scott Atwell has made. A lot of people that initially hear the Ascendant I'm running think it's just ok as it has big bottom end which is fooling them into thinking it's boomy, until I put on a track with really fast kick drum, then they realise it's playing everything really really well and picking up stuff a lot of run of the mill subs completely miss.

For me at the moment it's an FI SSD12 D2(also Scott Atwell made) which plays in a special made kinda horn box of about 60 liters, powered by 4ohm by an MS2125.
It plays really, really nice and loud if you want, although i'm more SQ oriented.
