The problem I have is every once in a while, especially if I'm driving with the audio all the way down or switching between sources, out of no where a relatively loud, constant static/white noise will start to come from my speakers. The sound does not change with volume. It does not change if I change sources on the HU. I must be coming after the HU because my rear speakers are powered off the HU and they don't have the static coming from them when this happens.
If I turn the HU off, that kills the power on everything and when I turn it back on everything works perfect and sounds great. This happens about 5-6 times per week lately and just started about 3 weeks ago. It seems to be happening more frequently. Only yesterday did it actually start when there was no sound coming from the speakers. Every other time there had been no volume coming out. I do no know if the static is coming out of the PDX also. I don't hear it but the crossover on my sub might be blocking it out.
I know I read in the Xenon manual that if you power down the amp you're supposed to leave it off for 30 seconds before powering it back up. I think this is something to do with the Xe.Load system but I'm not sure. I'm wondering if perhaps somehow there is a voltage drop or voltage cut when I turn the volume all the way down or switch sources which is causing something inside the Xenon to switch back and forth too rapidly and then emitting this sound. Otherwise, it has to be the Audison processor which is brand new.
