orion hcca 250,225g4 vs pg tantrum 1200.1 and 500.2

i will have a couple set up and need to now if cost is not the isuuse
but like loud clean sound what would you do
items
audio contol matrix 6 channel line driver
speaker id 6.5 mid/tweerter 2ohm
amps
orion g4 hcca 250 and 225 it would come with a g1 hcca 12 dvc dual 2 sub for the 250
or
pg tantrum 1200,1 and tanrum 500.2 both with end caps lpl
i also have a soundstream bx15 epi center with bass knob
subs
jl audio 12 w0-4v2, jl audio 15 w0-4, 2 treo 12,22 dvc in a pported box, orion hcca 12,2 dvc g1 dual 2 500--1200watt rms
so what to use of so
i also have/ a jl 13w7pro wedge oem box jl or a 10w7 in a high output box

no cash differance what would you do????? and why
have the big 3 o guage abd h/o alt and batt..

the car is a 2004 honda civic 2 door coupe
the deck is a double din vx709 clarion same as the ,max 675 just a unit newer
will have 3 6.5' monitors, rear back up. gps on ths unit already have ipod

used the 10w7 in my old car loved it clean loud just needed a little low end every so offten 8/10
the 2 12" should be 9-10/10 size box masses ect
if not go crazy and pick the bad boy play hard and get hurt....i now it the biggest and loudest but it a monster re if sure if i need a monster..

i have only used the first and second gen 250 and 225 and while they are great amps i dont think they would work for you. the 225 is built for ultra low impedance. think of it this way would a mps2220 and a mps2500 be enough to do what you want.

I have a Orion HCCA425 that is waiting for 4 caps and fresh paint which i used to run as a temporary amp in my old station wagon BMW.. I can guarantee u that u will be happy with the first 3 generations of HCCA amps all day long as long as u give them enough juice. Can´t say anything about generation 4 and 5 tho

You really do go through a lot of different set-ups/build options.
Do you still have the Other Roadster 66? Not sure if it is a good comparison, but the 4x75 is pretty beefy and the 600 on 2 12s will be pretty strong if you can deal with the size of that amp, hehehe...
It seems like the old school HCCA Orions are regarded pretty highly by the Orion fans.
A friend of mine has the Tantrum 500.2 and 500.4 in his SUV and they sound great. He needs the 2 15" type Rs ported with an RSD 1200.1 each to keep up with a set of Boston's on the 2 front channels of the 500.4.
So, I would always go with more power than I may need on the front end and subs are kind of easy to switch out for testing preferences. I have never been let down by a 15 in a good box, but the 13w7 would kill in output and get low on a good ported enclosure.

I currently have 2 10w3v2s sealed and the output and sound are perfect in my Integra Sedan. I am going to try some RSDc12s ported and it should be a big difference and easy to switch around when comparing which sounds best in there...

I would not say he goes through them as much as just heavily considers them for a short while.

i just had a chance to trade my 13w7 for the orion hcca sub gen 1 and the amp. i like the way my set will look the black on the treo subs high gloss front of the box with silver ports, on the tantrum amp the silver from the fins and matching end caps
i think i will get a 215 for some tweaking and a base cube just incase with my ported set up

Im almost dead broke right now so i don't have play money.(this always happend around this time of year for me) as my bonus normally clear 70% of my debit..lol this year it should be a little higher.-+

no problem mike. Although I have started to wonder if this is some kind of obsessive-compulsive car audio problem...

sucks yer broke now as I was gonig to say there is that 215 on the bay right now complete with another for spare parts for a little over $100 now I think.

this years was alot harder bought a house,car ect ect

i run a hardwood store in calgary ab canada we only have stores with our parent company in calgary edmonton and vancouver sorry...
