m100 on 4 4 ohm speakers
m100 on 4- 4 ohm speakers...so i have it hooked up wrong i guess, i have them all the + to the + and - to the -. that would be 1ohm mono. but the amp doesn't like it at all. what would be the best way? should i do a series to one channel in 4ohm, or 2 channel in 2ohm. any help i would love it.

Re: m100 on 4 4 ohm speakers
if you wanna play 1 ohm mono, go class D !!!
i hope the M100 went in protection mode, otherwise you probably blowd it up
maybe it was smarter to ask the question here before hooking this up !!!!
combine a parallel/series wiring so you end up again at 4 ohm mono ..........

This. Do two pair in series, and then parallel one pair to the other pair, and that will put it at 4 ohm. I'd be hesitant to drop an M100 to 2 ohm bridged.zeropoint0.5 wrote: combine a parallel/series wiring so you end up again at 4 ohm mono ..........
Being loud without good sound quality is pointless, but having good sound quality without being loud is also pointless.

Re: m100 on 4 4 ohm speakers
I have a trigger in my brain that automatically relates using 2 channel amps like the M100 for subwoofer use. lol
If the 4 speakers in question are full range I would most definitely go 2 ohm stereo. If they're subs I would go 4 ohm bridged.

are you talking about 4 ohm speakers or 4 ohm subs ??j
for subwoofers, go 4ohm mono.
for speakers, use them 2ohm stereo of course........
for speakers.....hell yes the M100 will be loud enough !!!!!!!!!!!
