If you guys were to install an Epicenter, would you also throw a line driver into the mix?
Or would you go one or the other?
I know they serve different purposes but the Epicenter does let you tweak the signal voltage of the bass restoration circuit if desired and I am wondering if I could remove the line driver if I add the Epicenter or if the line driver voltage and bass restoration circuit voltage are just two very different things. This is from the Epicenter manual:
"Bass Output Control Jumpers: Not all systems are designed the same, Some systems are designed strictly for SPL (sound pressure level) while others are a little more tame. The Bass Maximizer circuit can either increase or decrease the signal voltage of the bass restoration circuit. Depending upon your system, you may opt to change these jumpers to a higher or lower setting to maximize your bass output and protect your speakers. In most systems the factory setting will suit you fine. We recommend you try the factory setting first."

Re: Audiocontrol Epicenter and Line Driver
you didn't "NEED" the line driver in there in the beginning so you can pull it on now if you want. I personally run a line driver in most of my installs but seems like I see so many of them installed incorrectly in the back of the car that it really would not matter.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.

Re: Audiocontrol Epicenter and Line Driver
My line driver is up front in the glove box, just fyi : ), but i know you didn't mean me in particular.
I know I don't necessarilly need the line driver, but will that epicenter bass output voltage bump up signal voltage my amp is seeing similarly?
Seems like it will, which is cool, bc then I can throw the line driver on the amp running my components.
