zx500 to power Ti Elite 12D question.

so my ti1200.1 is still being repaired & id like to have some low end back in the subie. I just replaced the neon in my reactor & although it would be underpowering would it hurt anything to just push my elite with the zx500 side until I get the 1200 back?

Under powering can do just as much damage as over powering a sub ...especially one that's rated at 1200wrms - 2000peak, I wouldn't reccomend it, just my .02c as others on the site may disagree.

If you set your amp so its not goimg to.clip you will be fine
Because that subs need alot more power than you have it wil not be very loud.

i had 2 zx500V2's bench tested.

both give around 500W rms at 4 ohms and around 550W rms at 2 ohms all brigded..........

not more, not less..................

Yeah, maybe I'll just swap my sub for one of my Champion series Pioneers until the 1200 comes back.

It will work fine. You will have to listen a little bit quieter than with the 1200.1 at full blast. About 4dB quieter. If you can manage that then go for it.
