Need help to identify the amp on the pic, the seller said it is MS2125, but from the look of it, it looks like MPS2500
CAn you guys help? Appreaciate it. Sorry, That's the best pic i could get.

Hahaha, it's not that he can't see, he doesn't know squat about electronics. I live in Indonesia, apparently, the seller told me he just bought a used car with the amp installed, delivered to his house, took it out, snapped some pics, posted it for sale, went to another island for work. When i asked the serial number and the caps' rating, he had to call his wife to have a look at the amp. I guess the wife got pissed about it, and told him to tell me if i want then buy, and if don't want to buy just back off, no need to ask so many d**n questions.trickyricky wrote:@200.00 it sure doesn't matter. Get me one, lol, if you don't bite please pm me his info and I'll buy one for sure.
I just find it hard to believe he cannot see a voltage rating on the blue caps. IT CLEARLY HAS IT, if they are 35v then its a MPS2500 and if its higher voltage such as 50v or more than its clearly a MS2125.
for me it is a standard during recapping, next to the ps caps and silpads i always replace those 2 resistorsmndevil wrote:Yup, i got the amp in my hand. I will check it, i believe i know where it is. Thanks
I just checked one of my MPS2500 and that one have 40 volts, but you can also tell by the Serial# and Your Serial begins With 21 and that means that it is a MS2125 if it was a MPS2500 the Serial would have startet With 25mndevil wrote:@zeropoint0.5, will do. Thanks, I got it somewhere 5w resistor spared from my MS2250.
@trickyricky, both of my MPS2500 were 40V 10,000uF, blue one, from sprague. That's why I am confused
By the way mndevil have I asked you what serial# you have on your MPS2500's ?mndevil wrote:That's also what I thought Nils, moreover, guys here sure this amp is MS2125.
Thanks for all the help guys.
NOT 2 OLD YET wrote:Great info on both amps! Now I am a little confused, I just picked up a MS-2125 that has 50v caps in it. Cant tell if these are original or not. The seller didn't know squat about this amp.
