Junk bin stereo system

Post by montrese04 »

basically just taking a bunch of old stuff from previous cars and trying to make a decent system out of it all. I'm tired of soccer moms having more umph! then i have lol.

will this H/U (with one set of rca ports) work with the crossover below
Pioneer super tuner 3d (deh 2000mp) http://www.crutchfield.com/S-aJ9o8aHplr ... 000MP.html

I have a Zx600ti amp that would go in the equation so i guess i should ask will the crossover connect to that or is it even needed? I'm knew to the DIY quality stereo thing. The only things i haft to purchase are some tweeeters and some speakers for the the rears (4in circles i believe

The zx600ti is a great amp
It has all the xover you need built in so no other is needed

dude i love the avatar you have lol and thanks for the information about the amp.
Will it be enough to push the 12 inch pioneer somewhere close to its potential?

And how do i connect my speakers to it? The amp only has two sets of speaker attachments. I'm trying to attach tweeters, front door speakers rear door speakers and a sub to it.

thanks I sell hardwood flooring
this is a 2 channel amp
now pg can be done in a tri mode but you would need to buy a item to make it work
you can also sell it here and buy a 4 channel

http://download.phoenixphorum.com/Manua ... manual.pdf

and this is the item you would need to use just one amp

no thank you. i'm one of those horders that dont sell or throw much away. hence why i have had this for about a decade now lol. Besides it's extremely rough looking. In my haydays when i was a younger ricer i hade spray painted it black for some stupid reason plus it's scratched up pretty bad under the paint I'm sure.

ok so i decided i will not purchase tweets. Tho I do have another question for the forum. Am i able to connect these door speakers to my PG zx600ti

Cerwin Vega Hed-1683 (Speaker Type:Coaxial - 3-way - passive) here is a link to the specs http://us.choiceful.com/cerwin-vega-hed ... l/13129074

The whole H/U>xover>two amps (1 amp for highs/mids and one amp for low) is simple for me to understand.

(THE FORMER) But What i'm getting from reading is that my PG amp allows me to cancel the xover b/c it has built in xovers. I just run my two door speakers to one set of positive and negative then run my sub to the the other positive and negative and viola i have a decent system. Is this correct?

(THE LATTER) Or do i run left door speaker to a negative and positive and right door speaker to the other negative and positive. Then run an output rca from the PG amp to the RF amp?

lets say i choose full range on the option dial (seeing as i have component speakers) . Will the aux ouput connection to the other amp allow the amp to filter for the low?
