Quick update -

I have the M50 and the M25 to power the Diamond Audio 6.5 HEX components.

The specialist I have spoken to says that even the Phase Linear 8 wont fit in an enclosure small enough for my front or rear footwell, without taking up most of the footwell.

Im back to looking at the more efficient modern 8" subs that use a small enclosure, like the CDT 8. I really wanted a "period corect" sub tho :(

Should I buy another M50 to power whichever 8" sub that I buy?

Would 2 x M50s and 1 x M25 run OK off the standard battery? I dont have space for a larger battery or a 2 battery system. System will be mid volume SQ. Car will be kept on a trickle charger when not in use. System will not be played for long periods of time with the engine not running.

Thanks again :)

I had wondered what 12" you were considering putting there let alone an 8".

simplicityinsound.com in the gallery you can find some installs, that has subs ir front, one is mazda and i dont remember other. m50 amp is quite big amp comparing to genesis stereo 100, that has 200 rms bridget @ 4 oms. if you are not using dsp, or cd player with dsp, than its quite good to mount amp for sub in front of the car, under dash, or thing place ir the dash. you spare power wire, rca cable, speaker cables. and m50 you have and m25 can use for acoustic.
Sounds like music...
