Ti21000.4 help please

Post by Lunchbox89 »

How's it going fellas I'm hoping Simone can shed some light for me. I have a ti21000.4. It was playing fine and turned off all of a sudden. When I give it power the three blue LEDs flash on then off. The front clip light flashes as well. And it makes a slight clicking sound. A red led comes on that say "led 902" right above it I took a video to give you guys a better idea. Thanks in advance

My guess would be a shorted speaker. Have you tried unhooking the speakers and seeing if it powers up properly.

^^^^What Art stated ...also look for any metal touching metal (speaker wire, power / grnd wire) causing a grounded short ...start from the battery and work your way back to the head unit. It's a pain in the ass, but will force you to double check all connections.

I believe in the test video he didn't have the speakers or RCA's hooked up. If it's in protection without speaker wires or RCA's attached then more than likely it will need repair, shorted output/s.

With a DMM check each speaker connections (without the amp), set it to ohms...you should read around 3.6ohms for 4ohm speakers.

Thanks for the help fellas. The vid is with the amp by it self. No speaker wire wait anything connected. And all the speaker wire and speakers checked out fine.

Very likely that the amplifier will need to be sent to PG for service...hopefully its still under warranty.
