How to get stickers for ZX600TI?

Post by Alfaholic »

Hi guys, im waiting on some amps that have rust vains and i want to get them in nice condition.
I have a paint shop who will paint them the color i want but then i would need to get stickers made for the top logo and switches.
Does anyone here have any experience with removing rust vains and getting new stickers, how did they make the original logos did the lazer engraved them or did they use stickers?

I made this in a sticker editor in a weshop

The engraving is done in a shopbot.....a pretty expensive tool but it does wonders most metal machine shops should have one.

An engraver SHOULD be able to get the small lettering done. Bring it to them before you have it painted so they can scan it and set up a vector file. Make sure it's perfect before you get the paint work done, then bring it back and they should be able to engrave it back.

I think the originals were silk screened.
A few of these and a few of those.

He told me he could lazer engrave them but that would cost 200-300$ for both amplifiers or he could make a new type of special sticker for the logo and switches that would cost ca 70$ but then i must put them on my self and do very presice measurment of the original.
He said the stickers would be good and its hard to see that they are stickers but that the lazer engraving sticks on even after sanding it down and painting it.
