You might need to replace the tip with a larger opening hole. I have three for my Hakko 808, a 1mm a 2mm and a 3mm desoldering tips. Mine is good for about 15 solder joints before it needs to be cleaned, then its good for another 15 joints.

I now use the 1.3mm and i got 1.0mm but thats the only size they had, can i take my power drill and make them bigger or are there some alloy in them?.
I try to clean out the container every time and i also use the pipe cleaners that came wsith unit, its a cheap unit but its good enough for my use it sucks pretty good and i dont have to use to much heat.
What temp do you use when desoldering vias on amplifier boards?

Kurten got it right its the Lafayette ssd15

This is a 220Volt station if we used 110V like in the US i would have bought a Hakko but the 220V versions are expensive.

I got new sensetivity pots for the zpa 0.3 so that is up next now, im not sure what i will do with the 0.5 but now its in good condition.

Great job. I wish you lived closer, I'd buy it from you. Not willing or able to pay for the shipping though.

If you use it you'll be very happy. ;)

For a second there I thought you had the off-road amp, the way you had those Tis paired up.

That collection is growing very nicely, like a true addict like the rest of us.

Nice. Yea the 0.3 sounds great. On one of my 0.3 I replaced all mini caps with ELNA audio caps and I just ordered Nichicon Fine Gold audio caps to recap another 0.3 and maybe a 0.5. Probably won't make a huge difference but it can't hurt.

Well i fixed my r-link box today so now i got two working kit with 3 displays, the reason it did not work was two of the pins on the innput were soldered togethere it was impossible to se it was so litle but when i measured between it got full contact so i desoldered and soldered it and now it works perfect.
Now i need a new project
