Outlaw M100/M50 internal speaker wiring?

Post by Marre »

I have got my Outlaw up and running again, after swapping the caps.
Everything works fine, but i started wondering if the wires from the speaker posts to the board are connected the right way. Does anyone have a schematic so i that i know it's ok.
That would be awsome :D

What are you worried about? The two middle terminals go to signal ground (connected to each other, continuity).

Here's a pic from Eric's page.

Thats the way mine is wired to.
I started wondering because i thought it didn't match up with the speaker posts on the outside.
They are labeled like this
Bridged mono. + -
Stereo. Left +- +- Right
So the right sides positive is going to ground on the board?
And when you run it bridged you're connected to both of the positives on the board?
It just didn't make sense to me :?

It does not make sense to anyone until you realize and understand that one channel is inverted for the very same reason to be able to run it bridge without the need of a switch or an external bridging module.

Nothing to worry about, just wire it as it is shown in the pic and you'll be fine....

Please read this page...

Yes, I know there is a lot of text there, but if you do take the time to read it, it will greatly increase your understanding of what is going on inside the amplifier. This exact topic is one which really confuses a lot of people dealing with amplifiers.

Ugh.. that was a mouthful! I think people just need to follow the amp's instructions and not mess with the engineers!
