right there.
now use four inch pipe and stick it on the face of box.
although you may have to play with the depth alittle to get the port to fit.
you need the back of the port to be atleast 4 inches from back of wall
this is gonna be a tight fit.
what do you listen too?
i would probably increase the box volume to about 1.75 before speaker and port.
then it will play a little lower(3db roll off) but the port will get shorter for the same tuning.

i beg to differ, if the music he is listineng to is centered around that then it will work for him. i dont think it would sound like crap.JEREMIAH wrote:1.35cu.ft with a 4"w 12"L port is tuned to 41hz it will sound like crap try this http://www.subwoofertools.com/forum/por ... =&Fs=&CE=0
back in the late 80s i used to tune all my enclosures at round 45 hz
they would rock and yet still hit decent in the low end, just more authority on the upper 50 region.
was good to go since the music was around that freq anyway.
i wouldnt build that box though so i would agree with you.
if it were me i would build it about 2 cubic ft per woofer tuned at about 33 to 35 hz.
it will get decent loud and still hit some low end.

karisma wrote:basically i jsut want a ported box, that is tuned or designed so that my subs sound better, and im having an spl system
not a problem but the question ill throw back at you is what is wrong with the way they sound now? that would help me figure out how to make them sound better..
now you want an spl system or a street beat system, there is a differnence.. spl is not gonna sound very good.
street beat is probably what you want. ie windows down and some good
bass output that actually plays below 50 hz.
gotta be more specific on what you are wanting out of the system you have.
