Interconnect cabling Q

Can someone please confirm or correct me on what exactly the wiring is from PG's RDDP/SDT kits, TBAT's, Bass Cube to remote, and whatever other items have the phone cord type connections. I have heard and was told that they are simply cat5 cabling.

The early balanced systems (TBA, EQ230, etc) used a shielded PS/2 cable.

The later balanced systems (TBA, ZPA, EQ232 etc) all run on shielded cat5.

The RDDP setup used cat5.

The RMD, Basscube and LPL use phone cord.

Remember that RJ style connectors come in several flavours - depending on application.

Cat5 is 4 pair and needs to termnate on an RJ-45.
Phone or line cord is a single or dual pair and terminates on an RJ-11.
An RJ-11 will fit into an RJ-45 cavity if only the centre pairs are needed.
