Cleaning / restoring MS

Post by paulbfd »

One of my MS's is a little discoloured (one on right), is there a way of cleaning this to restore it to it's former glory?

You can send it too me and I will gladly clean it up for free…

…and keep it for maybe 10 years or so until you forgot you shipped it too me.

To clean the powdercoat I use q-tips (probably not the same name in the UK), and automotive polishing compound. It is a slow labor of love, but the results are well worth it.

try t-cut paul, it maybe the paint is slightly off colour, if i'm correct that amp used to be mine and i did respray the sink on it in 2pack so colour may have not been 100% match, try t-cutting and see what happens 8)

Think I have some T-Cut kicking about somewhere, will see how that goes.

A good friend of mine owns a body repair shop, so I could always get it repainted, something I never thought about doing.

Those amps are not painted though. It is actually powder coat. I just spent $60 USD to have a place chemically strip the powder coat off of one of my MS amps. If it were just paint, sandblasting it would have been a snap.

I think the white and grey are, but I doubt the LE amps are powder coated.
