New to the forum....Need some opinions with MS amps

Post by R-acer »

Hi guys, I have a few brand new amps in my collection and I am trying to see if I can stuff them all into my 2007 Dodge Ram 2500, but I am not sure they will all even fit. So here they are...

-2X Brand new MS2250TA's
-1X Brand new Zapco 9.0XD

Anyone compare these amps head to head yet? I am thinking...Zapco 9.0 to drive the 2 subs (dont own the subs yet), thinking 2 high powered 10". The use the MS2250's one for front and one for rear. What do you think?

Nice amps, but they are not the beloved MS1000ta.

My guess is a MS2250ta early edition, and one MS2250ta late edition.
Selling your Ti9 mids? PM me, please..

I also need a DD10...

No its not a MS1000.... I actually passed on a couple MS100TA already... But I am looking for one of the orgional Chrome ones...if you know someone wanting to see one I would buy it in a heart beat. But as far as the late model 1000TA...isnt that the same as 2 MS2250's anyways?

So for those who have actually used these amps listed above. How does the Zapco sound on subs vs the MS?

Isnt the Zapco even more power than the MS1000? on paper it is.

JFYI the original MS amps have more headroom than the "ta" versions.

Yes I know this. This is also why I walked away from the 3 1000TA's that I have ran accross recently in the last month or so. I am looking for a Real MS1000 in Chrome. I missed one already, but If I find one again I wont pass it up. I just want it for my collection, probably wont even use it.

I also owned 2 Frank-Amp'n-Steins before, but sold them when I needed money years ago. I have always been a PG fan. Love the Zapco's too though
