Can anyone help identify this capacitor?

I need to replace the capacitor in the photo below…



First I need to know just what it is, then I need a suitable replacement.

Based on its lettering, I am guessing it is 100V, 0.001uF, 5%. Is this correct?

Next, what type is it? I am guessing polyester film, but am not certain.

This is a link to the part I figure I can replace it with, but I want any oppions as to if this is the best choice…

Ok, poly what?

Polyester (Mylar)
Polypropylene
Polystyrene

I am guessing Polyester, but that is purely a guess. I don’t think polystyrene caps are made any more, and I think polypropylene caps are probably too big. Any thoughts?

the numbers are correct IIRC .... 102 for 1000pf, j for 5% and 2 for 100v but
i guess it cant be polypropylene too . too small for them and most of them don't come in radial packaging...

could be mylar , could also be ceramics .
If it was used for decoupling in around processing area then most probably they are ceramic, IIRC they are one of the favorites in decoupling applications . Any other application then probably its mylar.
i could be wrong Eric , as im recalling all these stuffs from electronic labs and projects years ago....

polyester film 0.001 ufd the J denotes 100 volt rating. If you need these my local supplier has them by the thousands.

Almost any film type cap will work here, theres are fairly cheap. Spend some cash use WIMA type caps

I think I will order the ones from digikey I provided in the link above. As for WIMA caps, I have no source for them. Where could I get them, and what would they cost?
