pG should do a " classic series" production run

Post by nutxo »

Maybe class d amps in MS series heatsinks.

I realize Im not buying right now but Im still planning. I really want PG MS amps but there are no class d sub amps that match :-(

I think matching amps just look cleaner . Im funny that way.

The MS2250 can generate well over 1000 watts of power. How much more do you need to run a sub?

Less than a 1000 watts.

I thought the idea of a class d amp was smaller size and more energy efficient?

you know if pg was to use the old heat sinks

it would look so clean.

use diferent boards like there current(class d) but in the ms heatsink would be actually nice..

good idea, would probably be cheaper for them because they wouldnt have to keep making these newer (not so appealing) heatsinks for
there amps which the rsd line is pretty good.

i know some one at pg is reading or will read this.....hint.
You may have subs in your car........but my doors sound better!

With the way the market is, this product would never sell. I might buy one, you might buy one, but very few others would.

I think the people of today are way more into bling than good old school simple looks. It would be cool though.

My son says he found a pg shell and is supposed to bring it down for me. He says its purple and gold, says pg in big letters on top and is huge.

Maybe I can fit something else in it.

Im still curious what it is.

zero point to have that massive heat sink w/ class D.

Old PG is gone, get used to it. I'm just hoping for class Ds from them w/ lots of power in small footprint. But thats also pointless because JL, Pioneer, alpine, blapunkt, and kenwood beat them to the punch.

If they want to be new, well kinda pioneer o7 odr does this but no one can afford it. Make a head unit that goes digitaly and controls amps w/ on board DSP like zapco, not like kicker weak attempt at the dsp w/ next to zero options on it.
Can one send others to war if hes not willing to go himself?

PIFFLE. Out of production , yeah. Gone, hardly.

But yeah. A class d with a small footprint would be nice.

what do you think the Roadster is? Today's take on M-Series.

RSd=window on top.

That's about as close as it gets... for looks.

I heard from someone over two years ago PG had a very high end product in the works, it was said to be very powerful with a small footprint, and still full range.

I guess these are still just pipe dreams though…

2 years is a long time. Different owners, different game plan.

The real challenge is making car gear that satisfies this crowd and also the newbs. Quality and robust design can easily be done, universal good looks is a bit harder.

PG still seems to be releasing LE amps, this is nice.
They made a last run at TA amps < I think this was there last shot at the past >
Fosgate did a 25 to life run, but I don't think it was the big splash they expected, it might of had something to do with the guts used in these amps, they used modern designs and parts so you could save the money by just buying their regular level products.

So the odds of PG looking back are dim at best I would say. And if they did they would be strapped into running more modern designs and parts inside like Fosgate did, while having to short run a set of custom sinks from the past perhaps < this would be expensive, sinks only get affordable in on mass production >
So although its nice to look back on days gone by, todays business profiles are focused on survival as the most important thing, and PG is in survival mode I would say with all the lay-offs and what not...

Nice idea though..... :)

uh, growth is the key thing. Survival comes naturally when you grow the slice of pie you take. Looking forward while honoring the past is a better way to grow. Kind of like AC/DC and how they kick the Stonses asses at being old rockers.
