Two easy steps to fix this issue

Step 1: turn off caps lock
Step 2: read VW337's excellent how-to: http://phoenixphorum.com/trouble-shooti ... vt178.html

one of the crucial points in the above link is where are all your grounding points?

if everything is grounded at a single point i'm at a loss.

i'm not sure how the strut tower is welded to the frame in the celicas...but that is about the only other idea i have, is maybe even though your ground point is solid, the tower still isn't providing enough metal to metal to allow the currant to flow back to the battery.

if you have extra 1/0 you might try running a test length from the distribution block back to the battery just to see if that makes it go away...other then then, i got nothing

^^^ What he said.

Yes, get a proper fuse within 18 " of the battery. Protect your investment.

Is the noise through all the amps or just one? See if you can isolate the problem by process of elimination (amp by amp, check each different RCA, etc,etc...).

In my truck I thought I had a good ground on the rear floor. It would whine wih the engine as well. I looked up under the cab and realize that section floor is only spot welded to the main portion of the cab.

i think deadlyjedly, brenzbmr, VW337, and nicoboom are main honchos here for custome fabrication. i dont suck at plain ol wood boxes. i have a box building totrial that is useful for some basics. i know the aforementioned all have some install theads (in the install section) you can look at for some inspiration

(no offense to anyone i didnt include, i know there are MANY amazingly skilled guys here)

also try a better chassis ground to your H.U. i have seen were that can create a alt whine from the factory H.U. ground wire.

and welcome the the phorum
