oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!!! sony cdx-c90

Post by thedeal7235 »

I was in the attic last night, pulled down my old sony cdx c90 head unit; for some dumb ass reason i thought it was broken, hooked it up to my work truck ( ti 600.2 running a set of 6.5 components, and rsd 1200.1 running my 2 10 rsdcs) and was in pure HEAVEN!!!!!!! My question is this, can a dennon z1 really touch(compare to this old es unit?), if not, what brand, or unit could(can)???? Any idea anyone out there? I need to install a similar head unit in audi, personal vehicle??? Thats the reproduction ive been trying to reach the last 11 months; it was in my attic the WHOLE TIME!!!! Christian

I have a Alpine F#1 Status (DVI-9990R) and the matching PXI-H990 processor, but I'm just waiting for my new amps to come and I'll get everything hooked up.

But my friend has it installed in his car and I have to say it is the most detailed sound I have heard. It has this sound warm to it plus it's not in your face sound at all like was was expecting it to be.

Denon Z1 owns the C90

As does the Nakamichi CD500, CD45z, MB100, CD700, CD700II
I think we've established that "Ka Ka" and "Tukki Tukki" don't work.

c90 is a very good unit by any standards but quite in the "super deck" league like the z1, cd700 and f1's.
Ti1 headunit (unique)
Outlaw in crate.
2x original shrouded ms2250's.
Route 66 in box + custom m100 to match.
Roadster 66 in flight case
Octane LE in box.
Reactor #186 in flight case.
Reactor EQ232
Ti400.2 AL
AX204A + EQ232 + ZPX2 + TBA set
ZCS6 component set
Tantrum+Titanium bass cubes
Ti12d Elite sub
DD5 + DD10 + 6 Ti blocks!

one of the guys on the phorum here has one -so im definetly considering it, due to the price point-usually around 400-clarion's new hrz9255 retail around 1199( it also has 24 bit burr brown d/a converter, but does have a copper chasis) did i spell copper right?

You Got Copper Right, but the Clarion is the DRZ9255, and it is one of the best going right now.
