Ive never had a system in a hatchback before. DO my subs fire to the rear, forward or up?

Try them in all positions I find firing them backwards works nicely.

yeah. I was always a trunk guy and rear firing was best. Trying all different ways will be hard. Its gonna be mounted in an odd way......

in my scion tc (a hatch) i have my single ported ten on the left side firing to the right. sounds best this way. i spend a whole night playing with different box positions and direction in my car and that way sounded the best.

i also had a different box a while back in this same car. had the sub and port both firing up and it sounded better than the sub and port firing directly to the rear, also a lot less rattling firing up.

If they fire forward ( Im even thinking about trying down ) then the box will be on a leg attached to the rear by the trunk latch about 12 inches off the floor. That way I still have t-top storage.

Being that I owned a hatchback when I got into this sport/hobby I found that subs and port firing upwards yeilded the loudest output.

For an SQL type of thing, subs back and ports up.

My two cents.

I would aim them toward the back or directly up! every hatchback I have heard subs in were that way and sounded great , I was always jealous of folks with hatchbacks :P
