Subject: RSD10/d

Looking through the manual at the enclosure specs for the RSD10 and RSD10D it lists (SQ- 0.5 cu ft) and (SPL- 0.3 cu ft) for sealed enclosures. Is this value the NET cu ft prior to bracing, Polyfill and the Sub...or is this the TOTAL cu ft after the previous 3 have been installed? I appreciate your time and Thanks for the great product.

Response: ( took a while to get this back..but I got it)

Andrew,

Yes, the number given is the total volume after bracing, polyfil, and woofer. The box requirements are so small
You don't need any bracing as long as the wood being used is an inch thick.

Regards,
Matt

I know I was wondering and there were some conflicting answers to this question so I asked PG. I hope this helps clear any confusion amongst those wondering

This is pretty much common knowledge. Once a boards dimensions get so small flex is non existent.

thanks for taking the time to ask them that.

VW337 (errin) help develop those subs and did quite a bit of experimenting on them, and we found that .5-.6 works best to give them the better then average low end extension they are capable of.
