I'll be installing the V752/754 here shortly and looking over the wiring diagrams, a couple of questions arose.
The radio is a Panasonic DVD double din for my GMC and on the back of the unit it shows;
1) pre-out connector (center) for external amp - one female plug
2) pre-out Subwoofer connector (mono) for external amp- one female plug
3) pre-out conector (rear) for external amp - two female plugs
4) pre-out connector (front) for external amp - two female plugs
My question is, on the back of the V754 there is a front (two female plugs) and rear (two female plugs) that I believe should come from item 3&4 which I just stated.
Would I wire this as such and run the out of the V754 to the V752 for my sub box or use either item 1or 2 to make this work.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
Wiring amps question
It depends on what amp is doing what, but the front and rear outputs of the HU are typically fading outputs. Meaning that you can adjust the bias from front to rear. If the 4 channel amp will run the front and rear speakers, than use the front and rear outputs. You could take the output from the 4 channel to the sub amp, but you would be better off running another cable from the head to the sub amp. The sub output does not fade, and most panasonic heads have a internal selectable subwoofer xover, and subwoofer level control.
