need help with tweeter location

hell-o, im starting a install in my corrado and i need some advice on my tweet location, the car has a 5.25 stock location in the door and a 4in in the dash facing the windshield, i have a 5.25 component set to put in and i dont know where to put the tweets for the best imaging, i dont want to cut my door panels unless its necessary to get a good stage, im thinking that i should just pull the 4in infinity coax out of the dash and mount them there, but from what ive heard you want the tweets close to the woofers? what would you guys suggest for the best result?
