power draw and new alternator

Post by Stereo Junkie »

I will be putting two MS2125, a MS1000 original, and an exile 2400.1 in my truck at some point. I wanted to know two things as it has never made sense to me.

#1. How much current draw for the 2400.1 when playing at full power?

#2. If I do the math from the PG manuals with out even including the 2400.1, crossovers, etc. and the vechile itself; the current draw at full power would be ~300A. If that is the case how did anyone ever run a system like this in the past and realize full potential? Is it even possible?

Thanks,

A HUGE 300A alternator from Wrangler NW here in Portland would be awesome. A pair of Kenetic batteries would also be sweet.... But there's a grand right there.

I already have two kinetik hc1800's as well as a yellow top under the hood. So that is cool, but would the 300 A be able to let the system play at full power?

Thanks,

Dual alts is the best if you can fit them.

So then I bring out the other part of the puzzle, that this will all be in a S-10 4 cylinder!

Tada!

Still a doo-able project even if it's a 4-banger. Just have to be willing and have the meens to make it happen.

Yeah, so it i've gotten it up to 110 before but it was going downhill with a 20mph wind behind me.

My only concern would be how bad would mpg be affected if I did a single 300A or dual alternators? :?
