in the driver properties window. what is the Le: figure mean?

also, what does one do with the response tab?

Le is inductance, inductance will affect the "Group Delay" graph.

And the response graph just shows you what the FR would be in an anechoic chamber.

Response tab is for importing acoustical data taken from an RTA... you do this and then you can interpolate the T/S parameters from it.
Le is a thiele small parameter for voicecoil inductance.... it's mostly an interpolation of the amount that the woofer rolls off in higher end. The voicecoil becomes an inductor because it cannot move the bigger woofer at the higher frequencies.

so since most modeling software neglects this (according to wiki, which makes sense since i never see it in the manuals) it is OK that i always leave it blank?

It doesnt really affect anything below 100Hz, and I assume you aren't using BBPro for anything but subwoofer modeling, so no problem.

You may have yours set for home vs car if you are trying to come up with the cabin gain.

I dont think i have it trying to compensate for any gain.....im just doing basic...."enter paramters from manual, set a box size, plot"

I can help you with the math if you need it, but I think you might be able to figure it out.

oh btw, i don't know if you know this, but if you click the parameter unit (such as Cubic Feet for VAS) you can change it's measure (such as to Liters for VAS)
