I am very interested in buying this subwoofer but i have some questions first.
I have a custom made box that is 3 cuft ported at 29hz. If i buy the RSDC112 12" sub will it sound good in that box? I will be feeding the sub 500w RMS.
I am really after some nice bass that can be felt in the chest cavity. I can describe the feeling as if the bass is vibrating the inside of your chest. I have tried to get this type of bass with many different installs and every time i just get car shaking loud bass. I have had kickers cvr 12"s and Rockford p2's and even Type r's all in a sealed 1.8 cuft box. My ported box was made for a 12" type r but even then i didnt get any chest bass.
So to sum it up, will that sub be good for me?

I'm not sure what the frequency that causes that would be, if i was going ported, i would probably go for something low like 29 also. it just seemed like if you went through 3 subs with similar results, maybe it wasn't the sub.microhaxo wrote:Is 29hz too low for chest hitting bass?
what was your box tuned too?
i was running a 1.4 sealed box, so it isn't really "tuned"
do you have a friend you could swap boxes with to see?
how is the box situated in the trunk?
