I guess this is a Kind of a -3dB button.martinkruit wrote:By the way, does anybody knows what the on/off axis button is.

In case of using tweeters "on axis" mode, it can get a little powerful than the midrange, so when his is on this config you should use the "on axis" button "on".And vice-versa.
I guess its not a kind of phase plug...
On axis = tweeters pointed directly towards you, off axis = tweeters pointed up to about ~45 degrees away from you.
Typically car audio tweeters are designed to run off-axis, so they will have a ~6dB/oct gain at high frequencies, in order to give them a flat response to the ear. I assume this switch removes this gain if it's set into on-axis mode, so that it isn't shrill and bright if mounted this way.

Hi there,
new guy here, looking for some advice, i have a few PG things :
ZPA0.3
ZPA0.5
XS6600
ZPX2
PLD1
LPL
XSC12
Really bad photo, sorry bout that
Now, one question though, the yellow zpa03 and matching zpx2 and LPL button, are they special somehow, or is it just a colour they were made in ? a friend told me that they might be some limited edition stuff, but i have no actual case or original documentation for them.
Regards
Jan

Nice gear.....
I've never seen any that color FROM the factory myself. Probly painted to match the install. Top notch gear though.

Welcom.
@Stipud, i know, but it is strange to call it on or off axis, ecspecially couse there is also a minus 3 db button for the tweeter.

@FuzzyHoNutz
Thanks, i know i haven't either, strange thing is that the LPL is not actually bought from the same guy and the paint looks really professional and very similar, so i was just wondering if there might have been a series in yellow at some point. If not i am still happy with my gear, it is going in my new car as soon as i figure out which one it's gonna be
Also i use 2 Boston Pro 10.4LF subs, since my trunk is not very big, and they play well in small boxes.
