Another quick question. I have some spare pieces left over from my box build that would make perfect braces , however , it would change my tuning frequency a little and I would like to try the sub and box without the braces just to see if the tuning is ok or where I want it.
Can I add the braces later on? I only plan to do 1'' tick pieces across the inner seams .

1 inch slats across the seams won't brace it all that much. think of it like the torque produced by a long wrench VS a short one.
the 1" won't be tall enough to reduce the flexing much
a good way to add some strength without taking up much airspace is to take 4-6 inch sqares and cut them diagonally to make triangles
then place them right angle in the middle of the longer sides of the box.
post some pics of the box and we can draw some arrows for you

Just a quick tip i've found when building boxes. I have found that a nail gun will quickly speed up the process of building your box. Just shoot 2-3 nails so that it will hold it nice and sturdy after you've applied your glue. Then you can start pre-drilling/counter sinking the wood screws.

Keep in mind that the ports have not been rounded yet and there is still some work to do . I did get the tnuts installed on the front baffle and have the sealing rim installed.
