ZX350 with the OVL LED Flashing

My brother just picked up a used ZX350, hooked it up and it worked for a few hours, then stopped. The red led "OVL" and green powerlight not alternates flashing. What does this mean? he came over, and I disconnected the sub and only left the power hooked up, and when turned on, the lights flash.

Crack the case, and check for any stray wires shorting out at the terminals.
