ZPA0.5...
ZPA0.5...
I am soooooo stoked! I just purchased a mint ZPA0.5 at a smoking deal, $410 to my door! YEEEEHAAAAAAAA!!! Anything special I should know about this beast? I was also thinking in the long run I might have to find a ZPA0 .3 to match, although the wiring/line driver upgrade must come first... I am reading the owners manual and it recommends 2 gauge to run a ZPA0.5 and two ZPA0.3's. I figured I would be needing 1/0 anyway, what do you guys think?

Still gonna fix the other amp?????? Then you'd need another woofer!!!!!!
Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!
Power hungry bitches they are so feed them well. I have 2 of them both in white, a ZPA0.3 and a ZPA0.5 The 0.3 I did the mod to, but the 0.5 is untouched.
I;m currently using the 0.5 to run my sub and the 0.3 will be wall art. She still works like day she was made I'm just running active now to my comps so I swapped out the 0.3 to use a ZX450v2

Power wire...
The ZPA0.5 manual says 2 gauge is enough to power two 0.3's and a single 0.5. How can this be? I figure at max you could see a 160 amp draw from all three amps, how can 2 gauge handle this kind of power? I am leaning towards 1/0 all the way back, then 4 gauge to the amps as I plan on adding a 0.3 in the long run... opinions?

I was planning on adding a 0.3 to run my fronts, I assume you prefer the sound with the ZX-450 active on your comps since you didnt go back to your 0.3? Can you give me a short review on the differences in the sound between the two setups? I have the capabilities to run an active setup on my comps and am very curious!smgreen20 wrote:Power hungry bitches they are so feed them well.
