Hi from Australia. My first post here so not sure where it goes.
My M44 is making a soft high pitched noise from the amplifier case.
Output to the speakers are fine.
Would anyone know where to find a schematic for it?

Welcome!
You could try opening the case up. My guess is it's a loosely wound toroid in your power supply. You can try cracking the case, and touching it while it is operating. This should dampen the vibration, and make it silent. If that is the case, you can add some epoxy to hold it together.
While you're at it, I highly recommend you look into replacing the capacitors. On your amp they will be nearly dead, and could cause it to short out and fry up. After replacing them, it should be good for at least another 15-20 years
