Qustion about RSD10d.

Post by larams »

I am thinking about getting the rsd10d but have a couple questions about it.

1. Will it be ok to use with an infinity 611a monoblock amp rated at 650 watt rms? I want to be able to use the full 650 watts if I can but the rsd says it's only rated up to 500 watts.

2. Is an enclosure measuring 2.0 cu/ft ported and tuned to 33hz a good match for the rsd10d? I'm pretty much stuck with this box because it was made out of fiberglass and custom fit into my car so whatever sub I get has to work in it. I think it is fine but want to make sure from others who know more than me about the rsd.

Thanks alot.

the amp will be perfect for it. they can handle quite a bit of power.

what is the port length? according to the manual the box should be just fine

The port I'm using is 3" diameter and 7.25" in length. That should give me a tuning of 33hz from what I understand. I read 33hz was a good tuning point
for good sql but I don't know if thats true. I figure it's easy to make it longer or shorter if I need to.

Oh yah I forgot to say the rsd I'm looking at is the older one I think. Just making sure in case there is difference with the newer rsd competition sub.

That box sounds damn near perfect, go for it and let us know how it sounds!
