I'm very sure it will take it. One of the car audio magazines wrote an article on the sub and I believe they were putting somewhere around 2400 watts to it, two amps, one per VC. I was contemplating buying an Exile X2400.1 to run mine.
Why don't you use that big ass xenon amp you have to power it?

You know the one you got from Casey?

Don't think it hasn't crossed my mind, it's just to rare of a piece to have something go wrong with it. If I do ever decide to use it, it will be only for a short trial.

I don't blame you, I wouldn't use it either, except just to hook it up once to hear it pound.

Another battery will also draw more from yiour alternator , regardless if your alternator checked out ok doesnt mean it can handle your audio system and your vehicles power requirements.

You would have to wire the batteries in parallel and use a battery isolator for best results.

What head unit are you using? Whats the pre out volts? you may need to ease up on the amps gain

By the specs its a great deck 8) it puts out 4 volt preouts and depending on your music you lisen to , its sending a semi powerful signal to your amp so you may want to back off the gains a little on your amp

Your amp should be fine at 2 ohms. 4 ohms you would see less power, not to mention the elite cant be ran at 4 ohms, its a dual 4 ohm sub, which leaves your options at 2 or 8 ohms. I would personally run larger wire, atleast 2 guage, preferably 0 guage, and change your box. First and foremost though, get the new box going, and evaluate from there. 2.75 ported should get relatively loud.
