just last week i did my 44
and ended up using these...
http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSea ... 91W-3BK-ND
i was under same impression as C expressed he was from his crib notes earlier in the thread... , where i thought they were 2w's in there OEM, so i bumped it to 3watts... geese I hope that's okay? i mean given that i guess that they are actually 5 watters in there?
Is that what has been discovered or learned or remembered???

I have benched it, powered up and light sat on green all day today-
doesnt take away from output work needed to be done on the left rear channel- but so far appears to be all good.

you have to get 1000 qty at a time though
I'll take/count me in for 4 of them- 10 if it helps

that kinda sucks!
maybe call and ask for sample
sometimes that works

I have used wirewound for the regulated supply resistors with great luck. Would not put them in any signal path though.

I whant to change the 2 smal caps and the 5 watt resitor in all my amps.

think like Eric just stated above-
okay for power supply function but not signal so you would be okay
those 5w resitors are power supply related, not signal- i believe so anyways

Here's the link to the resitor page from Mouser, you just need to select the resistor you want.

Well I have a question about the 91 ohm 5w resistor. Im recapping a m44, m50, ms250, zx500 the 91 ohm goes in the m44 but I too have had problems finding this resistor so I was wanting to know if I could use 2 180 ohm 3w paralell would that make them a 6w combined at 90 ohms?

The old resistor got cooked pretty bad and burned the board some or I would just reuse it.
