I know that not many have run the PG TI951 and they are hella hard to come by if any but I was wondering how they compare to some of the other good 3-way set-ups. I ran across a NIB BA PRO653 set last November and its still sitting in the box. I have always liked and run the BA PRO comps. I wanted to try my hand at some 3-ways.
Does anyone run 951's now????? AND does anyone know what they would go for or have any available?????
Thanks,
DC
Three way comparison BA PRO653 vs PG TI951
I hav'nt heard the PG 951 combo but I've always loved the sound of the BA 3 way setup. They are one of the few sets of speakers which can make a hard dome tweet sound natural (to my ears anyway).
I know where there's a set of PG Elite 9's for sale but the guy wants $$$$ for them.

M25 x 2, M50, M44, M100, Original MS 275, MS2125 & MS2250 (with shroud), XMax 15, White EQ215X, EQ232, PLD1,BLT, MX3, AX-406A, Basscubes, + Soundstream, Earthquake, RF, Boston, OZ Audio & KEF
I too like the BA's sometimes the tweets can be overpowering but handled with a little grill cloth to tone them down a bit. I like their reliability as well. I have never had any problems with them especially with high power. I am afraid of blowing the PG's. I have heard of a few not holding up. May just be a few odd happenigs I dont really know. Prolly just run what I got. Just getting opinions. Not like there are a bunch of 951's laying around anyway.andy600rr wrote:I hav'nt heard the PG 951 combo but I've always loved the sound of the BA 3 way setup.
