What would be the two best amp combo to run 2 ti12D elites? Two RSD 1200.1's? OR two Tantrum 1200.1's? Or any other one amp?

I'll say it now........I wouldn't part with mine if I got that good of a deal on a 1200.1 for $175..........

Ya might look into a pair of Ti1200.1's just cuz I like to match gear. 8) But I'd say go with the RSd cuz the tant's have a chip that can't be replaced anymore so once it's gone.....it's gone.
Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!

RSDs for sure. Tantrums are optimized for 4 ohms, while an Elite bridged will run 1.5-2 ohms. This will put it out of its efficiency range, causing it to get really hot and not produce any additional power.

Don't know bout the RSD's but I've seen many a Tantrum 1200's go down. Big issues with them.

tantrum 1200.1 = one of the best mono sub amps ever made for 4 ohms.....but when used @ 2 ohms they shit the bed.
Can one send others to war if hes not willing to go himself?

IMO run a MS1K on'em bridged each side 4-ohm (providing that the Ti-d's are 4-ohm dvc's...which i think they are).
But this may not be a realistic option, as you would have to of course be able to have/get one...

Is there any other two or one amp setup that would really make the elites sound good. (i have a 17 volt setup not 14)

If you're not married to PG, you could look at the Exile 2400.1

http://www.exileaudio.com/2007/products ... el=x2400.1

It's stable down to 1 ohm so with 2 Ti12d Elites, you could wire them to a 1 ohm load.

I am now running two RSd 1200.1's on a 15'' and I could not be happier let alone breath @ 4 ohm load.

Get some RSD 1200.1's and push that thing @ 2 0hms

I currently have two TI12Ds and running them using a Cadence DCA-2500. This amp produces 2500w @ 1 ohm and sounds really good. I run them sealed, so if I had to do it again, I'd probably get the Cadence DCA-5000, and setting the gain at about 2000w/sub (this amp produces 5000w @ 1 ohm @ 14.4v).

If you're running them sealed, make sure you run A LOT of power to them. If they are being ported, then I'd say push about 1200/sub.

If you want to stay with PG gear, then I suggest getting a Tantrum per coil (4 TR1200.1's). Since the TR's love 4 ohm loads, they'll love you for connecting one per coil.

This is what they handle to sound best and get the most out of them, if you want to go less, then get a RSD1200.1 per sub (2 of them total); you'll be happy, but left wondering what if.

EDIT:
Sorry, the Cadence run their power at 13.8V, so with your high voltage, I suggest getting the DCA-2500 and pushing that to about 1500w/sub... http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fus ... ct_ID=6019 ($600 for the amp).
