Need Some Input on Install in a Ranger Regular Cab
So I have been out of the car audio seen for about 6 years and I don't know if it was boredom or constantly seeing some of my old stuff in the closet, but I am contemplating putting something simple into my 07 regular cab Ranger. I will start with a little back ground:
-Work Truck
-I'm 6'3" (i.e. space behind drivers seat is tight)
-Drivers seat and middle seat are one piece
-Space for 5 x7 / 6 x 8's in rear corners
Equipment I have and could use or go a completely different route just throwing it out there:
-ZX475ti
-(2)a/d/s PQ10
-a/d/s 642 csi
-Image Dynamics 5 1/4 component set
-Alpine deck
Now I was thinking I could build some kicks to hold the ID Components and then get some mids for the doors but then I don't know what to do for the low end, I was throwing around the idea of making an enclosure to go on the passenger side where the 5x7 would be but I don't think there is room. Ideally I would try and find a bucket seat for the drivers side and make a box that goes in between the seats with a down firing 10 or 12. But I don't know how hard that would be to find and that might be more money than I want to spend. I am more of a SQ guy so I am not looking for a ton of bass just want it to sound complete. So if anyone has any opinions on what I can do or if you have seen any installs in a similar situation let me know. Oh and I am not going to do a cut through box in the bed.
Also what kind of sound deadening is everyone using these days? I remember buying some stuff called RAAM Mat? From a guy down in LA back when I did my last install but I just had a phone number I would call not sure if he is still around. All I know is I don't want to pay for some name brand stuff.
Thanks for any advice.

I've always been impressed with the JL W0-6" "micro" subs. They don't need tons of AS and aren't that deep. If ya put them in the 5x7 holes and sealed it in real good.........It'd probly give ya some low.....
OR-
Get 6 of them and build a down-firing wedge box. With the seat all the way back, you should still have the room.
OR-
You should have the room to put an 8" sub under the dash center behind the gear shift/cup holders. Build a new center cosole.....

Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!

I like the idea of the 6" in the spots for the 5x7, I will look into these.
The only thing I am worried about with the wedge boxes is having room to put the amps. I guess I could do 1 wedge box behind the passenger seat and the amps in the middle and behind the drivers seat. What's a decent shallow sub?

I think JL has a new shallow out.

That Exile didn't come up when I did a search.

I think you already have some good gear. Unless yer really wanting to spend some $$$ I'd use the ID components and amp. Just add a ZX400.2Ti to match for the 6's or bridge the rear of the 475 to them. Another idea would be to grab a set of RSd components(awesom mid-bass) and loose the ID's......
