Cleaning up beat M Series amps

Post by 5.9Limited »

I've been doing some cleaning/restoring of a couple beat m series amps. I own my own auto detailing biz and applied some of my training and experience to try to bring back a couple neglected but operational amps.

I've had very good succes so far, implementing a bunch of detailing tricks, chemicals, and processes, to the exterior only of course. If its something you may be interested in, let me know... Its a fun hobby for me so any charge would be minimal, considering you'd have to ship if to me and back, but if you've got a sweet m-series thats been recapped etc, but is beat on the exterior, give me shout.

One trick that has worked for me on older amplifiers with very close heat sink fins, is using the dremel polishing disk at a very low rpm. :)

Nice...ya we have a couple of guys that are relative expert repair gurus...that have frequented the board in the past...but both seem to have disappeared, however they are still around and can still be contacted.

Dr fosgate is one amazing hole patcher....and amp repair guru...
and so is 1moreamp. Both amazing...you came at a time when the gurus have left the building unfortunately due to some immature things....but they are still around.
